Return

I want you to love your new jewelry! If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return the item within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. The item must be in its original packaging and in perfect, unused condition. You are responsible for shipping costs and proper insurance. I am not liable for returns lost in shipping. CUSTOM ORDERS ARE NON-RETURNABLE. Made to order items are returnable.

Custom Orders

ALL CUSTOM ORDERS ARE NON-RETURNABLE. A custom order is considered any item designed and made specifically for you, and is not currently in my stock, or an item in my stock that is altered or customized in any way (not including ring sizing). A 50% (non-refundable) down payment is required to start work on a custom order and the remaining 50% + tax and shipping is due upon completion.

If a payment plan is needed, we can work together to find one that works for you. You will not be able to take your item home until it is paid for.

Ring Sizing

If you are unable to get your ring size from me, you are responsible for finding a reputable jeweler to obtain your ring size for you. I am not responsible for improper sizing (you tell me you are a 7, I make your ring a 7, but you are actually a size 8 and the ring does not fit). Please see my price chart for sizing fees.

If the ring was made the wrong size by my mistake, I will re-size it free of charge including shipping.

You will be communicated with before purchasing if your ring is unable to be re-sized.

Setting a Customer’s Stone

All stones are subject to review by Katie DuVal Jewelry before use. Full disclosure is required for stones that are synthetic, lab-grown, treated, repaired, or altered in any way. There is always a chance that a stone may break when unmounting or mounting. I am not a gemologist, and I am untrained when it comes to identifying potential weak points in your stone. I do not know where your stone came from, and I do not guarantee its quality. I am not responsible if your stone breaks during the unmounting/setting process. I will always be as careful as possible when working with your stone, but you need to remember that sentimental value holds no monetary value. I will work with you and find a replacement equal of value and quality or a suitable repair.

You will be asked to sign a waiver before I can begin working with your stone.

Craftsmanship and Damage

I stand behind my jewelry and I want you to be completely satisfied. If your jewelry is damaged because of my error, I will fix it and make it right free of charge including shipping. This only applies to jewelry within 6 months of purchase. After 6 months, I am happy to repair the item for you with normal repair charges. Please see price chart for details.

If any other jeweler or person repairs or performs work on your item, my craftsmanship and damage policy is void. I am happy to repair someone’s mistake with normal repair charges. Please see my price chart for details.

If damage occurs because of harsh wear or carelessness, I am happy to repair the item for you with normal repair charges. Please see my price chart for details.
